A "Storm in the Night" Experience
The story we are reading this week is called Storm in the Night. It's about the power going out and a boy and his grandfather telling stories to each other to not be scared. Making Connections- Tomas and the Library Lady
The last two days we worked on Making Connections to a text. There are three ways to connect to a text:
- Text-to-Self- When you read the text it makes you think of something you've experienced
- Text-to-Text- When you read the text it makes you think of something else you've read, seen, or heard
- Text-to-World- When you read the text it makes you think of something in the world
